4chillis(Jan 2026)Rosedale Hotel is conveniently located in Cuaseway Bay. It is a very short walk from Shelter Street tram station. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. The staff are very professional. The room was clean and comfortable and large enough for 2 people and their bags. The buffet breakfast had something for everyone - toast, pastries, cereal, salad, noodles, western options. They require a HK$500 deposit on a credit card at check in - debit cards are not accepted. In a austainability measure Hong Kong has outlawed disposable tolietries in hotel rooms but they are available for purchase at a reasonable price. Shower gel and shampoo is supplied.

It is also close to popular spots like Victoria Park and Times Square Mall, making it easy to explore the area. The room was spacious with a big bed that could comfortable fit 3-4 adults, and everything was kept spotless, housekeeping cleaned the room daily and replaced towels and toiletries without fail. The staff were accommodating and friendly, always ready to assist with any request. The breakfast buffet were also good, offering a nice start to the day. We appreciated that the hotel safely stored our luggage after checkout. Overall, we were very happy with our 8-night stay and had no issue at all.

While my trip was unexpectedly interrupted by Typhoon Ragasa, I still had a generally positive experience thanks to the hotel's comfort and service. The room was clean, tidy and well-maintained which was especially important since we ended up spending more time indoors than planned due to the storm. The bed was comfortable, and all the basic amenties were in place. I appreciated the calm and quiet environment during such unpredictable weather. Breakfast at the hotel was also a pleasant surprise. There was a decent variety of both Western and Asian options, and everything tasted fresh. It was a good way to start the day, even if we were a bit stuck due to the weather. What really stood out was the staff - they were very friendly, accommodating and helpful despite the challenges brought by the typhoon. From helping with local updates to making sure guests were safe and comfortable, they handled the situation professionally. While the typhoon definitely impacted the overall trip, Rosedale Hotel provided a safe and comfortable place to wait it out. I would definitely consider staying here again - hopefully next time under sunnier skies!

The room was quite spacious, especially considering that most hotels in Hong Kong tend to have smaller rooms at this price point. We also tried the breakfast buffet once and the staff there were equally friendly. The location is very convenient, right in Causeway Bay with two grocery stores, a McDonalds, a Starbucks, and a Watsons nearby. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
